Online Presence Reporting with Analytics and Search Console

Understanding your web traffic is a critical part of understanding your digital marketing performance.

Google Analytics provides insights into your web visitors which is essential for providing benchmarks for your online presence and measuring any digital marketing efforts against, particularly for those running Facebook or Google ads or paying for monthly SEO or any other digital marketing services that are meant to help.

I offer free reporting to clients who would like more insights into their website activity. I offer these reports at no cost because they are quick for me to set up and the only catch is a web developer will likely have to assist with the initial set up (the hard part).

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a free tool that measure your website traffic, what pages people are visiting and where people are visiting from.

These are simple but essential metrics for understanding your online presence, especially so if you operate nationwide and would like location data or are paying for ads other than increase your website traffic and want numbers to help measure results.

Logistically, Google Analytics is a small code that needs to be added to your website settings. many web developers set this up for you and you may be unaware of it.

Google Search Console

Google Search Console is a free tool that helps show what search queries your website is ranking for on Google.

This is helpful for seeing a list of keywords and questions people are actually searching and whether people are actually clicking your website or not.

Although SEO (search engine optimisation) is not my area of expertise, I can easily explain the data and how to use it to identify content gaps in your website.

As search continues to evolve and get disrupted by AI tools, this search data is becoming more important than ever. Especially when it comes to understanding local visibility and the question and answer type content which AI favours.

The good news is this is a free tool and connects to another free reporting tool for easy PDF reporting, however you'll likely need your web developer to set this up (if they haven't already). Some may charge a small fee for this (I've had $75 quoted for a client recently), others may not, either way it's best to ask.

Like Google Analytics, data and insights are only available from when the tool is set up, so it's best to action this sooner rather than later.

Email script for your web developer...

"Could you please confirm if Google Analytics and Search Console are already set up for our website?

If not, could you help get these connected? Let me know if there’s any cost involved before proceeding.

If/when set up, please add Jason Benbow (info@jasonbenbow.co.nz) as a full user for reporting access. ”
